Mr. Reinhard talked by video link from New York City about what the U.S. should do to counter its current image abroad, and about the impact of anti-Americanism on the U.S. economy and national security. Earlier in the month, he met with Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Karen Hughes to discuss the government’s public diplomacy strategy and their work with the private sector. Mr. Reinhard’s group worked with U.S. businesses to engage in public diplomacy initiatives to improve the U.S. image abroad. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
