Public Schools, Public Menace

Joel Turtel, an education policy analyst, talked about his book Public Schools, Public Menace: How Public Schools Lie to Parents and Betray Our Children, published by Liberty Books. He urged parents to take their children out of public schools permanently, arguing that public schools offer dumbed-down tests, textbooks, and grading systems that ultimately discourage learning. He suggested that if parents use accredited Internet schools and computer learning software to home-school their children, it would not be as difficult as is often portrayed.
