Cornelia Grumman talked about politics, her award for commentary on the juvenile justice system, and other domestic issues in the news. She coordinates the political endorsements for the Chicago Tribune. On September 7 she received a 2006 Annie E. Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism for her editorial series, “Juvenile Injustice,” a series she wrote last year on problems at the Cook County, Illinois Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.
