Vice President Dick Cheney addressed the 107th National Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in Reno, Nevada. Among the topics he addressed were veterans programs administration, efforts to combat international terrorism, and military operations in Iraq. He also said that any movement to withdraw forces from Iraq would embolden terrorist organizations and talked about the Bush administration counterterrorism strategy, including the decision to monitor communications within the U.S. and abroad. close
