Residents and officials from St. Bernard Parish spoke to a video journalist about conditions in the parish and recovery efforts since Hurricane Katrina. They also talked about the role that private citizens and government were playing in that recovery. Video footage filmed on August 7, 2006, nearly one year after Hurricane Katrina made landfall and destroyed many residential areas along the Gulf Coast, showed local residents and officials in the midst of reconstruction efforts, conditions in the areas devastated by the hurricane, and perspectives of the recovery and reconstruction tasks. close
