Mr. Petrilli introduced two reports from the Fordham Foundation on the status of states' educational standards and approaches to implementing national standards and tests for K-12 students. Moderated by Ms. Olson, the panelists discussed educational standards and the possibility of national tests for students.

Topics included the No Child Left Behind Act, federal incentives, national standards, testing models, transparency, and differences between states. Following their discussion, the panelists responded to audience members' questions.
