As part of a three-day conference on the impact of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S., Mr. Ryan moderated panel discussion on the topic, “How Has 9-11 Changed the Preparedness of First Responders: Are We Ready for the Next Attack?” Among the topics addressed were ways in which security and emergency response techniques had changed since the attacks, lessons learned in the five years since the attacks, and developing better plans and procedures for emergency response to terrorist attacks and catastrophic events. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
