A 1988 alumnus of the law school, Mr. Casey is the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania and is running against incumbent Republican Rick Santorum.
As part of the annual Pope John XXIII lecture series, Bob Casey delivered an address on the topic, “Restoring America’s Moral Compass: Leadership and the Common Good.” Topics included his family background, the sense of social justice, the Hurricane Katrina aftermath, pro-life issues, lessening the influence of special interests, and homeland security. He quoted Abraham Lincoln and Pope John XXIII. After his speech he responded to audience members' questions.
