Federal and state legislators, media industry representatives and members of the public commented on proposed rule changes for media ownership rules. Among the issues addressed were consumer access to local news and information sources, distribution concerns, the proposed numbers of media outlets and size of companies with interests in local outlets, and meeting the needs of the public interest.
