Elizabeth Edwards talked about her memoir, Saving Graces: Finding Solace and Strength from Friends and Strangers, published by Broadway. Mrs. Edwards, wife former Senator John Edwards, the 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee, recounted her life experiences and described coping with grief. She talked about the 2004 presidential election, her son’s sudden death in 1996, and her breast cancer diagnosis. She revealed the comfort she received from strangers and friends in midst of her struggles. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions. close
