In his statement to reporters in the Rose Garden President Bush talked about federal budget issues, international reaction to North Korean nuclear tests, and U.S. policy in Iraq. Following his remarks he answered questions from reporters. Most questions focused on North Korea and Iraq with President pledging to stick with his policies on both crises, praising Chinese condemnation of North Korea’s apparent nuclear test and citing progress in helping the fledgling Iraqi government stand on its own. close
