She examined the post-September 11 world, drawing on her personal experience and on the stories of Afghan women, Hurricane Katrina survivors, and anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan. She read excerpts from her book and commented on her personal insecurities. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions. close
