The Confession Former Governor McGreevey talked about his memoir, The Confession, published by Regan Books. He was interviewed by Andrew Sullivan, seated on a stage before an audience. James McGreevey was governor of New Jersey from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, after a former lover threatened to “out” him, Governor McGreevey publicly announced that he is gay and announced that he would resign from office. Mr. McGreevey wrote about his life as a closeted gay man and as a politician in his memoir. He also talked about his strong Christian faith. After their discussion they responded to audience members' questions.
