In a conversation with Garrick Utley, Howard Schultz talked about global innovation and the challenges that global businesses such as Starbucks face. He also described the growth of Starbucks from four stores in Seattle to 13,000 stores worldwide with 140,000 employees. Topics included marketing, America’s foreign policy image, cross-cultural differences, staff training, and social responsibility. After the interview, Mr. Schultz responded to audience members' questions.
