Chris Hedges talked about his book American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America, published by Free Press. A former New York Times foreign correspondent and Harvard Divinity School graduate, Hedges warned that the Christian Right is threatening a tolerant, free American society. He said that the movement’s ideological ancestors are the Italian and German fascist movements of the early 20th century. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.
