Mr. Gold served as Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations from 1997 to 1999 and as foreign policy advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Dore Gold talked about his book, The Fight for Jerusalem: Radical Islam, the West, and the Future of the Holy City, published by Regnery Publishing. Ambassador Gold described the history of Jerusalem going back three thousand years and explained why he thinks the city should exist under the sole sovereignty of Israel. Topics included the threat of secularism, al Qaeda terrorism, and Middle East peace efforts. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.
