Lisa Margonelli talked about her book Oil on the Brain: Adventures from the Pump to the Pipeline, published by Nan A. Talese. She explained the supply chain of oil from its source to the consumer’s purchase and talked about gasoline prices. She explains how oil is extracted, refined, and distributed, with a special focus on five oil-producing countries: Venezuela, Chad, Iran, Nigeria, and China. She responded to questions from members of the audience. Skip Laitner, a former EPA official, provided opening remarks and moderated. close
