On Wednesday, March 7, 2007, presidential candidates Senators Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Chris Dodd (D-CT) attended a fundraiser for the South Carolina Democratic Party in Washington, D.C. The event raised about $150,000 for operation of South Carolina’s Democratic presidential primary. South Carolina and Utah are the only two states that require parties to pay for the operations of primary elections.
Also on Road to the White House, two presidential candidates spoke with students in early primary states.
