Cassandra Pybus talked about her book Epic Journeys of Freedom: Runaway Slaves of the American Revolution and Their Global Quest for Liberty, published by Beacon Press. The book was about a slave owned by George Washington who ran away from Washington, and eventually ended up in Sierra Leone. While there, he fought in an insurgency similar to the one that had occurred in America. close
