Stephen Younger talked about his book, Endangered Species: How We Can Avoid Mass Destruction and Build a Lasting Peace, published by Ecco. He is a pacifist who talked about the possibility of human extinction through mass violence and the steps we can possibly take to avoid such a future. He responded to audience members' questions.

Stephen Younger, a professor of anthropology at the University of Hawaii, recently retired as a senior fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he was in charge of nuclear weapons research and development. From 2001 to 2004, he was director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency at the U.S. Department of Defense. close
