Congressional Lobbying Rules

On May 17 the House Judiciary Committee marked up two bills that would change current lobbying rules. One bill, HR 2316, would require new disclosures of lobbying activities and a two-year ban on lobbying Congress by former members and their aides. The other bill, HR 2317, would require lobbyists to disclose whether they have bundled political contributions for candidates. Ms. McGehee has been meeting with members of Congress to support stronger lobbying and ethics regulations. She responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
