David Grossman, an Israeli author and journalist, delivered the Arthur Miller Freedom to Write Lecture. Topics included violence and war, moral judgment, the language of citizens of a sustained conflict, and influences on his writing. Following his speech, Ms. Gordimer, a South African author, commented on his lecture and then interviewed him about his life, work, and philosophy.
