Experts talked about retirement income, Social Security, Medicare, and the aging population in America. They discussed a new study released today by the National Academy of Social Insurance titled, "Social Security and Retirement Income Adequacy", that examines the economic situations facing retirees now and in the future. They answered questions from congressional staff members and reporters in attendance. Former Representative Barbara Kennelly moderated.

Nancy Altman is the author of The Battle for Social Security: From FDR’s Vision to Bush’s Gamble, published by Wiley.

The event was held in the Rayburn House Office Building. close
