John Prados talked about his book, Safe for Democracy: The Secret Wars of the CIA, published by Ivan R. Dee. He talked about the CIA’s covert operations since WWII and assessed whether those operations have helped the U.S. government reach its foreign policy goals. He examined the CIA’s involvement in Iran, Guatemala, Chile, Cuba, and other countries. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions. close
