Jeffrey Feldman talked about his book Framing the Debate: Famous Presidential Speeches and How Progressives Can Use Them to Change the Conversation (and Win Elections), published by Ig Publishing. In his book Mr. Feldman reviews 15 key presidential speeches from George Washington to George W. Bush. He identifies how the presidents used the speeches to present bold ideas and frame the public debate regarding matters of policy and politics. Mr. Feldman claimed that Republicans have succeeded in defining the current issues and explained how he thinks progressives today should use similar techniques. He responded to questions from members of the audience. close
