President Bush spoke on the United States International Development Agenda in advance of his trip to the G-8 Summit in Heiligendamm, Germany, on June 5-8, 2007. He spoke about fighting poverty, hunger, and disease. He also called for a meeting in the fall of 15 countries identified as major emitters of greenhouse gases in order to reach a consensus by 2008 on a global emissions goal for greenhouse gases. This list would include the United States, China, India and major European countries. close
