Melinda Henneberger talked about her book If They Only Listened to Us: What Women Voters Want Politicians to Hear, published by Simon and Schuster. For her book she interviewed more than two hundred women across the country, asking them about the political issues that are important to them. She talked about Iraq, abortion, the environment, globalization, job loss, government corruption, and presidential election campaigns. Ms. Henneberger reported that many women think politicians are not authentic and do not care about the issues that matter most in their daily lives. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions. close
