Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman talked about the book they wrote with Michael Fox, Thirst: Fighting the Corporate Theft of Our Water, published by Jossey-Bass. The book is based on the documentary film by Deborah Kaufman and Alan Snitow that chronicled attempts by private corporations to take over public waterworks. The authors argued that profit-seeking companies increase rates and encourage wasteful use of water. They answered questions from members of the audience.
