The One Campaign launched its One Vote '08 project, co-chaired by former Senate Majority Leaders Frist and Daschle, to mobilize voters to make the fight against global poverty and disease an election issue. Participants, including grassroots organizers who joined the event via satellite, spoke about efforts educate the electorate about humanitarian issues, international tensions and security issues related to global poverty, and the role activists could take in bringing the issue to political candidates.
