Andrew Keen talked about his book The Cult of the Amateur: How Today’s Internet is Killing Our Culture (Crown Business, 2007). He debated with Lev Grossman of Time magazine the value of the “democratization” of digital media, in which anyone with an opinion and an Internet connection can start a blog or post a video on YouTube. Jeff Howe, contributing editor of Wired magazine, moderated their discussion on the impact of consumer-created content. They also responded to questions from members of the audience. close
