The co-authors talked about their book, Foxbats Over Dimona: The Soviets' Nuclear Gamble in the Six-Day War. They said that the Soviet Union was heavily involved in the lead-up to Israel’s Six Day War with its neighbors in 1976. The authors contended that the Soviet Union believed Israel was intent on acquiring nuclear weapons and intended to destroy the Israeli nuclear program by joining Egypt and Syria in provoking Israel into a preemptive attack. After their presentation they responded to audience members' questions.
