Officers talked with reporters about key findings in the latest Department of Defense Mental Health Task Force report. The task force was created in 2006 by Congress. Topics included research in mental and neurological health, rising rates of depression, post-service culture of support, interviewing personnel at 38 military installations, and future provision of mental health services. After their presentations they responded to reporters' questions.
