Memoirs and Remembrances Moderated by Carla Ranger, authors talked about the topic, “Memoir and Remembrances: Making My Way Out of No Way.” They described their lives, their memoirs, and biographies they have written, saying that success is available from any point and station in life. After their presentations they responded to audience members' questions.

Dominic Carter wrote, No Momma’s Boy: How I Let Go of My Past and Embraced the Future. Congressman Charles Rangel wrote, And I Haven’t Had a Bad Day Since: From the Streets of Harlem to the Halls of Congress. Yvonne Thornton wrote, The Ditchdigger’s Daughters: A Black Family’s Astonishing Success Story. June Cross wrote, The Secret Daughter: A Mixed-Race Daughter and the Mother Who Gave Her Away. Agyei Tyehimba wrote Game Over: The Rise and Transformatin of a Harlem Hustler.
