In this portion of the Live Earth opening ceremony former Vice President Gore and others talked about the Native American perspective on ecology and about global warming and necessary actions to be taken to stop it. This program ends before the musical performances began.

Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian hosted an event called “Mother Earth” with musical performances and speakers from the scientific and American Indian cultural communities in the spirit of the Live Earth message. Live Earth was a 24-hour, seven-continent, multi-concert event to raise awareness of the solutions for global climate change. close
