Devra Davis talked about her book The Secret History of the War on Cancer, published by Basic Books. In her book she argues that while a large amount of attention and money has been spent on treatments for cancer, far less has been spent on investigating the causes. She argues that this major public health effort has been diverted and distorted for private gain. She used many slides during her presentation, and afterwards responded to questions from members of the audience.
