Eboo Patel was interviewed by Ms. Lee before an audience about his book, Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation. As a young man Eboo Patel, an American Muslim from India, experienced discrimination and felt excluded from mainstream American society. He warned that religious extremists recruit similarly disaffected youth. He advocated cultivating interfaith dialogue among young people in order to promote peace. After the interview he responded to audience members' questions. close
