Philippe Dauman gave the morning keynote address at the 4th Annual Anti-Counterfeiting and Piracy Summit. He talked about the importance of intellectual property to the economy. Entertainment is a major American export but many types of intellectual property are threatened. Viacom is combating piracy by legal and technological remedies while still being a pioneer in new interactive uses and distribution methods. He urged that all facets of industry cooperate and educate users and governments about the importance of copyright protections. Mr. Daumna anwered questions from members of the audience. close
