Professor Norman Glickman delivered an address entitled, “Are the Japanese Taking Over the American Economy?” to the International Platform Association’s conference in Washington, DC. He depicted the world economy as being a battlefield for markets, on which world economic powers struggle for predominance. He discussed foreign investment in U.S. assets, and the unease in the U.S. caused by foreign investment in the U.S. He also discussed the trade and acquisition tactics of the U.S. foreign competitors investing in the U.S. Professor Glickman responded to questions from the audience on global trade issues. close
