After opening remarks, administrators of children’s hospitals gave their perspectives on the changing nature of children’s health care. Topics included the consequences of current and future good health in children, preventive care in childhood, preventing smoking, and preventing child abuse. They spoke in favor of a vote in the House to override President Bush’s veto of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program legislation. After their presentations they responded to audience members' questions. close
