Authors at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life discussed their books about the ascent of Christian evangelicals into political power. D. Michael Lindsay is the author of Faith in the Halls of Power: How Evangelicals Joined the American Elite, published by Oxford University Press, USA. For his book Professor Lindsay interviewed over 100 evangelical Christian men and women in the fields of business, politics, and entertainment and explored their ascendancy in their respective fields. Hanna Rosin is the author of God’s Harvard: A Christian College on a Mission to Save America, published by Harcourt. She profiled Patrick Henry College, an evangelical school that considers itself the Christian equivalent to the Ivy League and positions itself as a training ground for evangelicals to take on the secular mainstream as Washington politicians and to shape the culture. John Green moderated the discussion. They responded to questions from members of the audience. close
