Secretary Leavitt talked about the annual Global Health Security Initiative ministerial meeting which the U.S. is hosting for the first time. Health ministers from eight industrialized nations are reviewing preparedness initiatives to respond to threats of biological, chemical and radio-nuclear terrorism; pandemic influenza; food and product safety; and other public health emergencies.
