The Squandering of America
This event was held at UCLA’s James Bridges Theater as part of Town Hall’s author series Writers Bloc.
Robert Kuttner talked about his book The Squandering of America: How the Failure of Our Politics Endangers Our Prosperity, published by Knopf. In his book Mr. Kuttner explores the issues that connect economics and politics in America. He argues that the policies and regulations put in place since the New Deal have been abandoned and as a result the wealthy have benefited at the expense of America’s lower and middle classes. He was in conversation on stage with political activist and blogger Arianna Huffington. He then responded to questions from members of the audience.
