New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner talked about the history of the New Hampshire primary from the colonial era and the political culture of the state. He also talked about his meeting with 12 other secretaries of state in Washington the previous day to discuss ways to bring order to the chaotic primary scheduling process. He said that he would wait until the date for Michigan’s primary is settled before setting the date for the New Hampshire primary and is prepared to organize the primary faster than he ever has.
