CIA Interrogation Tapes Pamela Hess talked about the Central Intelligence Agency’s destruction of videotapes that detailed the interrogation of alleged al-Qaeda operatives. Congress had formally requested documentary evidence on interrogation from the CIA during the September 11 Commission but the tapes were not provided. Ms. Hess discussed the likelihood of a Congressional investigation into the matter and the role of the attorney general. She responded to a video clip of Senator Edward Kennedy addressing the question on the Senate floor the previous day. Ms. Hess responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
