Participating by remote connection from Des Moines, Max Cardenas talked about immigration and the Iowa caucuses. He immigrated to the United States from Peru in 1997 and became a U.S. citizen in 2005. Though he attended past Iowa caucuses, this is the first time he can participate. This week he will attend a Democratic caucus in Des Moines and is supporting Senator Barack Obama. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
