Alan Weisman talked about his book Prince of Darkness: Richard Perle. The book is about the life and career of Richard Perle, an influential shaper of American foreign policy since the 1980s. He talked about why he originally wanted to write the book, and how he did the research for it. Other topics included Perle’s power even while holding positions of relatively little power, the experiences that shaped Perle’s life, and Weisman’s own impressions of Perle. Following his prepared remarks he answered questions from members of the audience.
