Panelists argued for congressional approval of the U.S.-Columbia Free Trade Agreement on economic, foreign policy, and social grounds. Mr. Griswold also argued for FTAs with Panama and Korea and said that the poor benefit from lower barriers to trade. Ms. James argued against linking FTAs with Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) programs and argued that even the current program should be eliminated. They responded to questions from members of the audience. Mr. Arnold moderated. close
