Desmond Lachman offered a Power Point presentation, followed by remarks by Joel Kotkin on the economic report he authored. Then the panel of economic experts talked about U.S. economic growth and the federal government. Topics included deflation of housing prices, the credit management crisis, elevated oil prices, and the decreasing stock market. They also talked about government-initiated efforts to solve these problems such as limiting the lower levels of interest rates and stimulating job creation. After their presentations the panelists responded to audience members' questions. close
