God in the White House
American religious history professor Randall Balmer talked about his book, God in the White House: A History - How Faith Shaped the Presidency from John F. Kennedy to George W. Bush, published by HarperOne. His book profiles the religiosity of American presidents ranging from John F. Kennedy to George W. Bush. Mr. Balmer contends that prior to Jimmy Carter’s presidency Americans were marginally interested in the president’s religious beliefs unlike what the author deems is the current politicization of religion. close
