Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff James Cartwright gave a press conference where they talked about concerns of the Defense Department being under funded do to an appropriations bill being smaller than what was requested, developments in Afghanistan and Iraq, and efforts designed to improve health care for veterans.
